I was recommended to become a patient of Mr Barbour well over twenty-five years ago by my wife, who was a patient even then. She realised my well founded nervousness at attending such appointments (prior to becoming a patient at this practice), was really quite obvious and that I didn't want to go anywhere!

I can clearly state, without any hesitation whatsoever, that from my initial visit all those years ago, I have no reason at all to attend anywhere else. Over the years, having had many procedures done, from simple to complex, no such fears from the past have ever manifested in any way. So much so, that my 13-year old twin daughters were registered, even before they had shown .signs of any teeth! Together with my wife and family, we still attend on a regular basis.

Perhaps this is to do with the initial welcome, perhaps to do with Ian's friendly and ever smiling staff but, perhaps more importantly, it's all down to his constant knack of relaxing folks, of ALL ages, children (especially) and adults alike and continually nurturing the bond of trust that was formed from my very first visit.

In closing, I should note that I often tend to doze off slightly in the chair within the treatment room but should point out, this has nothing to do with any anaesthetic procedure, nor Ian's chat for that matter- just pure and total relaxation!!""
